Dental Care Tips for Brushing Technique
Brushing teeth regularly and in the correct way is the most important part of dental care. The most important dental care practice is described below:
Step One
Hold the toothbrush just under the gum line at a 45-degree angle. Gently jiggle the brush or move it in tiny circles over the teeth and gums. Repeat for each tooth.
Step Two
Brush the inside of each tooth using the same jiggling action as in step 1. Gently brush the outside, inside, and chewing surfaces of each tooth using short back-and-forth strokes.
Step Three
For chewing surfaces, use a light back-and-forth motion. Gently brush your tongue to remove bacteria and freshen your breath.
Dental Care Tips for Flossing Technique
If you are really dental care conscious, flossing makes sure that dental plaque is removed on a regular basis and your teeth stay healthy. This very useful dental care practice is shown below:
Step One
Special dental floss thread made of plastic or nylon is available in the market. The idea is to gently insert the thread in the areas of teeth where there is a chance for plaque to get stored. By moving this thread with slow action, a person can remove dental plaque.
Step Two
If plaque is stored in between your teeth, you should floss it out.
Step Three
Sometimes plaque gets stored at the edge of teeth near gums, you should floss that out also.
Step Four
Also, floss the inner areas of your teeth, and make sure you don’t hurt your gums while doing this. Waxed threads are also available for dental flossing, which helps you remove plaque effectively.
